So here’s a brief update on how my 2015 went.
Upon graduation in September 2014, I applied for a few jobs and one of them was Huawei.
Was offered a Wireless Network Engineer position and I accepted it after much consideration.
In the first month I was sent to a training course at the Cyberajaya branch.
If you’re wondering what do I really do in my work, I commission wireless base stations (what your mobile phones connect to). I would like to show more but I can’t due to the company’s policy.
After training, I was assigned to U Mobile project, and in the first few months I was basically just following a routine. 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and repeat.
Taking the train to work every morning.
Gazing out of my office window, admiring the skyscrapers.
Going to the customer’s office (at Times Square and Subang Hitech)
Had my graduation ceremony in February.
And then around April I was assigned to be in Penang.
I had a great time there, definitely better than working in the office. I travel to sites all over Penang to commission the base stations.
Every few weeks I would go back to KL once.
After some time I got tired of driving, so I tried taking the train instead.
Around July, I was assigned to Johor.
In September I was assigned to a project in Australia.
Drove to Melbourne during a short holiday.
Great Ocean Road.
Stopping by at Canberra on the way back to Sydney.
It’s the end of my assignment here and I’m now waiting for my flight back home.
It has been a busy but great year. Hope I have more time to post updates.
Looking forward to 2016.
